Cookie Policy
Effective date: September 8, 2026
Cookies are tiny bits of text a site stores in your browser. Here's every single one this site sets — and that's a short list, because we don't run ads and we don't follow you around the internet.
What we set, and why
- The name-remembering cookie (
texan_test_name) — first-party, ours, lasts one year. It remembers the name and email you typed so a retake doesn't make you do it all again. Delete it any time; the site works fine without it. - Google Analytics 4 cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) — set by Google, last up to two years, and used to count visits and page views so we know the test is landing. GA4 anonymizes IPs. Details in Google's own disclosures; we never sell or share this data with data brokers, because we don't have any. - Login sessions — if you're one of the few folks with an admin account, the platform sets session cookies to keep you signed in. Regular visitors never see these.
What we don't set
No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no social-media pixels, no third-party marketing beacons of any kind. When you share a certificate to social media, that's a link you post — the platforms don't get to read your cookies through us.
Your controls
Every browser lets you clear cookies and block them — head to your browser's privacy settings (usually under Settings → Privacy). Blocking analytics cookies doesn't affect the test, your certificates, or verification one bit. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we collect and why.
